Centennial Park: The Holland BPW partnered with the City of Holland to install dimmable light emitting diode (LED) pedestrian lights in Centennial Park, the city's oldest park located adjacent to City Hall. In total, 48 60-watt dimmable LEDs were installed along pathways in the 5.6 acre downtown park, replacing aging and energy-wasting metal halide lights. The project is intended to demonstrate the energy optimization of LEDs as a viable emerging technology. It is expected to save the city $2,800 annually in electricity costs and will also eliminate maintenance costs.
Hope College: Hope College completed a retrofit of linear fluorescent fixtures in their distribution warehouse, changing out 680 fixtures to save at least $3,410 annualy in electricity costs and enjoy the advantages of maintenance-free lighting.
Hudsonville Ice Cream: Hudsonville Ice Cream retrofitted 36 fixtures in their plant with high-performance T8 fluorescent fixtures and T8 high bays equipped with occupancy sensors. In doing so, they achieved an annual estimated energy savings of $7,605. Their employees are delighted with brighter lighting, too!
Kandu Industries: Kandu Industries installed T8 6-Lamp high bays and occupancy sensors, saving an estimated $13,480 per year. The experience was so positive that they immediately began to consider adding more energy saving improvements in the near future.
Tennant Commercial: Tennant Commercial installed new office, task and emergency lighting, saving an estimated $49,439 annually! The experience not only saved them money, but improved the quality of the lighting as well. They are considering more projects in the future.
