Utility
Services
CONSERVATION
PROGRAMS MANAGER
This position is
responsible for leadership, oversight, planning and implementation of
utility-sponsored conservation and efficiency programs. Develops
conservation-related goals and measures organizational progress in achieving
these goals. Advocates conservation to all HBPW customer groups. Develops
positive relationships with customers, implementation partners, and
stakeholders through responsive, professional communication and collaboration.
Advises HBPW senior staff in the policy, strategies, and technical applications
of conservation and efficiency. Represents HBPW in regulatory, private sector
and public interest forums regarding matters concerning conservation and
efficiency. May conduct efficiency audits and make recommendations to eliminate
waste and increase efficiency within utility facilities and at customer sites.
Qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business,
environmental science, or construction management, or related relevant field;
conservation and sustainability coursework or experience preferred. MBA
preferred. Four years energy conservation/energy efficiency work experience, or
experience in the utility industry with strong knowledge of utility operations.
Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, database, and PowerPoint,
internet research, and data management. Excellent written and verbal
communication and presentation skills required.
Operations
INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN
This is a skilled position responsible for maintenance work in
the Operations Department that services the Water Treatment Plant and
Wastewater Treatment Plant, along with the W/WW collection and distribution
systems. Under the direction of the
Maintenance Supervisor - WWTP/WTP, work involves the planning, installation,
maintenance, and repair of process control and analytical equipment,
instrumentation and controls equipment, along with trouble shooting and
maintenance of electrical equipment.
Qualifications include:
Associate’s degree in electronics, or related field highly desirable; or
equivalent education and experience including trade school or certificate;
Minimum two years experience in electrical/electronic maintenance field;
Minimum two years experience in troubleshooting, calibration and repair of electronic,
hydraulic and pneumatic instrumentation equipment; Strong working knowledge of
electrical systems and concepts - electrical license desired; Ability to read,
understand and interpret software control logic; Ability to read and understand
schematics, blueprints and technical manuals; Working knowledge and experience
in a water/wastewater facility highly desirable; Ability to clearly communicate
technical information in an oral and written format; Ability to work
independently as well as coordinate and oversee the work of others.
Technology
The
position is responsible for designing, programming, and implementing
applications utilized at the HBPW.
Provides networking systems support in conjunction with other computer
support personnel under the general direction of the Applications Manager.
Qualifications
included: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer
Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Four to six years
experience in application development and integration; Substantial knowledge of
relational database design, management, and programming; Substantial knowledge
of SQL, XML, Visual Basic, and .NET technologies; Interpersonal skills
necessary to communicate with other organizational personnel in the exchange of
information; Must have excellent
organizational skills; and mental ability to periodically handle pressures
related to working on projects requiring attention to detail, dealing with the
concerns of employees, and the simultaneous management of multiple projects.
