Residential High Efficiency Products Program

When you update your home’s heating or cooling, be sure to select high-efficiency equipment. Qualified central air conditioning units, heat pumps, gas furnaces with ECM motors and ENERGY STAR® room air conditioners and dehumidifiers are eligible for rebates. New for 2012 are incentives for electric water heaters, refrigerators, computers, clothes driers and programmable thermostats.  Intelligent surge protectors (smart strips) also qualify.  You’ll save money with lower utility bills and receive a cash rebate!  Download the incentive application below for details about program and equipment qualifications.

Energy Optimization Program - free to qualified homeowners

Holland BPW electric customers that may be recently unemployed or meet low & moderate income guidelines are encouraged to check out the Energy Optimization (EO) Program offered through the Ottawa County Community Action Agency and the Allegan County Resource Development Committee.  This includes FREE home energy conservation services to homeowners to help them reduce their energy bills and make their homes more energy efficient and may include the installation of compact fluorescent bulbs, a refrigerator replacement, furnace replacement, installation of wall and attic insulation, caulking to reduce air leaks, and other energy efficiency measures.

Eligibility is based on household income being at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines, with a three month "look back" for those who may be recently unemployed. Recipients of cash assistance through the State of Michigan Family Independence Program (FIP) and those who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) automatically qualify for the program.
