The Google Broadband initiative sparked serious interest in our community for gigabit Internet access.  In response, HBPW contracted with a Broadband Consulting firm, Gigabit Squared LLC, to evaluate fiscally responsible options for expanding HBPW fiber throughout the Greater Holland Area.

After months of hard work by HBPW staff and Gigabit Squared LLC staff, we are proud to present the final report.  This report uses a multifaceted approach to evaluating the expansion of fiber within the Greater Holland Area.  It is by no means a final decision on the matter, but rather it presents multiple options that we, as a community, have in expanding broadband services. 

Formal presentations of this plan were made to the HBPW Board of Directors on September 8, 2011, and City Council on September 14. 2012.
